New Ingenium Engine of Discovery Sport Introduced By Land Rover
Land Rover, the leader in automotive innovation announces new Ingenium diesel engine for Discover Sport. This will render enhanced efficiency and refinement for the the award-winning premium compact SUV.
The engine delivers CO2 emissions from 129g/km and up to 57.7mpg (4.9 l/100km) fuel economy.
As stated by Murray Dietsch, Director of Land Rover Programmes, “Land Rover’s new family of Ingenium engines is truly class leading. By introducing it to the Discovery Sport, we can now offer enhanced fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions, while improving overall performance. The Ingenium engine confirms Discovery Sport’s position as the most versatile and capable compact premium SUV in the world.”
The improved Discovery Sport containing this engine is initially available to order in Europe and South Korea starting May 2015. International roll-outs to follow (Discovery Sport is available in 175 markets), globally Land Rover has accumulated 15,000 orders for the said Ingenium – powered vehicle.
